Memorandum for Mr. K.M. Broman:1,2
I have given a letter of introduction to Mr. Norman who is a friend of mine in Hamilton. He may be calling on you some day and I would be obliged if you whould show him every attention. I should also like to make him a present of a number of dahlia roots when they are available. I should like you to charge these to me. He may indicate when he calls on you the varieties that he specially admires.
With kind personal regards,
1 Matt Broman worked very closely with Thomas B. McQuesten on many of his projects in Hamilton and in Niagara. There is a plaque commemorating Matt Broman's work at the RBG near the Thomas B. McQuesten High Level Bridge. There is also a small lookout park named after him on the brow overlooking King's Forest Park in Hamilton. The series of letters beginning with "986" are all Broman's.
This memo illustrates how scrupulously honest T.B. McQuesten was. For more information on T.B. McQuesten see his biography.
