To: Calvin McQuesten {Dr.]

Friend McQuesten

I am sorry to write you that it will not be convenient to have you make that proposed visit this vacation, on account of Mother's ill health. I shall not be there at [6 am?] Have you seen Berrie? I have seen his sister. If you have any thing of interest please write. Please remember me & the boys.1

Yours Truly,

1 If this letter is to Calvin McQuesten who later became Dr. Calvin McQuesten, then he was 12 years old at the time of this letter. It may be that the boys had been planning to spend some time together during school vacation.
