AGREEMENT FOR A LEASE
This agreement made the sixteenth day of March 1914, between the Rev. Calvin McQueston [sic] and Harold. E. Palmer.
This is to certify that I, Calvin McQuesten, minister of Bracebridge, Ont. doth this sixteenth day of March 1914, rent to Harold E. Palmer farmer of the Markel, Sask, that portion of land which is in summer fallow on the S.W. quarter of Sec. 22, Twp. 31 Range 10 West of the 3rd Mer. Consideration to be one third of grain grown on said land to be put in the grainery on said land, free of all charge, for the sole benefit of Calvin McQueston. The remaining two thirds to go to Harold E. Palmer. Harold E. Palmer agrees to sow clean seed wheat and to harvest and thrush in due season.
He also agrees to summer fallow 50 ac. on the said quarter at the rate of $2.00 per ac. And to take for pay as many bushels of wheat of Calvin McQueston's share as will pay the amount of money due him.
This lease is good until Dec.1st 1914.
