From: Glenhurst, Saskatchewan
I suppose you are anxious to know how the crops1 turned out well we had a very poor crop the smallest yield we have had since I came to the country. We had know [sic] rain since the 17th of June and very hot dry winds the average yield of wheat on Summerfallow is about 12 bu. some have as high as 15 but not many I was over and divided the grain on your place on Friday there was 976 bu. altogether I put your share in the shack that is machine weight--now I would like to know what you want me to do with it if you want it sold why I will try & haul it for you 6 cts a bu. is what is allowed for hauling to town I think that you will likely get 1 Northern for it. Harold Palmer did not get the Summerfallow all done as it got to [sic] hard &dry but he said he would do it this fall if you wanted it done as we had a great old sod soaker yesterday & today every person around here quite well
