W8254 TO REV. CALVIN MCQUESTEN from his brother Thomas McQuesten
Oct 14 1936 [approximate date]
To: Rev. Calvin McQuesten
I do not like to talk about this matter any more. I dislike it but if you insist I shall give way. Have not spoken to Mary and Hilda nor am I going to do so.1
T. B. McQuesten
1 We have no record of what "this matter" is. The Calendar speculates that it might be about the library. However, it is also possible that Calvin is beginning to think about bequeathing "Whitehern" to the City of Hamilton, which his sisters initially opposed. In 1936, the remaining family members were: Calvin 60, Mary 62, Hilda 59, and Tom 54.
