W8237 TO REV. CALVIN MCQUESTEN from his brother Thomas McQuesten
Jul 10 1911
To: Calvin McQuesten Staney Brae, Muskoka, Ontario
My dear Cal,
Your letter came on my birthday. Many thanks for your congratulations. I was glad you got away when you did. You just escaped a most suffocating spell of heat. Over a hundred and two it was for several days, though no doubt you have read about it in the paper. By the way do you see the Globe or the Times or would you like to see either or both. If so let me know.
Today we had a splendid rain the first in two weeks. It will do a power of good. Am glad to know you are feeling better. Make full use of your time now my man, and get yourself in thoroughly good shape. Be sure and eat plenty and take the air. I am quite satisfied after a good summer of c___ [sic]1 you will be quite fit again.
Don't worry about the money there's plenty of it. Must close.
Your aff'te brother
T. B. McQuesten
