W7911 TO REV. CALVIN MCQUESTEN from Mrs. Nell Wingate Todd
Jan 16 1935
To: Rev. Calvin McQuesten
From: Cleveland Heights, Ohio
My Dearest Cal,
Have just now received the papers you sent (Dec. 7th issue) giving the very sad news of your mother's passing.1
I do grieve with you Cal dear, and know so well what a dreadful blank there is in your life now--but what a wonderful life of happy memory and association you have, to look back upon--how proud and happy you must all be, as a family, to have had such a remarkable mother with you for so long.
Take comfort Cal--those who leave us move permanently near us in spirit--for there is not the confusion of the physical world.
The thing within us that is eternal--the soul of us, and their spirits maintain everlasting communion until the day when we too are spirits free and unbound by earth.
I wish I had known sooner, that I might have [been] with you at the time; your grief--but my thoughts have been with you a great deal.
Please convey to your brother and sisters our very deep sympathy as a family.
And very much love to my dear Cal.
From Nell [Mrs. Nell Wingate Todd]
