W7416 TO [REV.] CALVIN MCQUESTEN [later Rev.] from Lucy A. Lerned
Jun 11 1903 Thursday P.M.
To: Calvin McQuesten, Montreal, Quebec
From: Concord, New Hampshire
A letter rec'd from your Mother today informs me of your intention to visit N.H. next week -- I shall be very glad to see you although I am just recovering from a long illness of six weeks & still have a nurse.
The electric cars run from Manchester to Concord every half hour & it is a 7 1/2 mile drive from Concord. The only stages each day come out here 2 arriving here at 1/25 p.m. Should you take a carriage at Concord you can come any hour. Pardon my writing -- I have seen as yet but few of my fds [sic] but that see you of course [sic].
I have had the worst form of grip, leaving me with a weak heart, that is quite troublesome preventing me from assuming my normal duties -- But I shall be glad to see you & hope you will come. I am not allowed to write, so please excuse all.
