My dear Calvin
I am writing to you for a copy of the paper in which that last article of yours appeared. Your mother gave us her paper to read, and unfortunately it got mislaid, and I did not like to tell her how careless we were.
We were sorry not to see you when you were home but they all say you looked well, and spoke so well, and we can certainly testify that you write well, and on the question of the inexperienced goings brethren "Nein's My sentiments."
Hugh is home looking well and strong and Anne the same. She has just been telling us that in some Toronto papers describing the regatta at Juddhaven, the [?] was called the Spirit of Niagara, but by an error, it appeared "Sport."
We had our first miss. [missionary] meeting of the season this afternoon. Your mother leading us wonderfully in prayer. What a gift she has!
Now, dear Calvin, you will forgive me for troubling you about this & send one if you can. With kindest regards from all.
Your sincere friend
Phyllis E. Fletcher
