Dearest Calvin,

The enclosed cheque has just come in and Mail goes to-night so I am sending right off. The last report about Edna says she is not needing the extra nurse, for which I am thankful and hope it will continue. It is quite convenient to be able to know, just when English mails leave. Dr. Graham phoned me yesterday that the cheque had come but he hadn't your address, so I said to send it to us. We have had great heat, yesterday 90 but this morning is cool. Archie very busy putting in salvias & geraniums etc. Raining fine for houseplanting every thing came in tiny pots, easy to handle.

Take great care of yourself. Read of a great storm in Wales and S.W. England. Hope you escaped. With much love.

Your affectionate Mother

M.B. McQuesten
