W7030 TO REV. CALVIN MCQUESTEN, B.A. from his mother, Mary Baker McQuesten
Jul 7 1928
To: Calvin McQuesten Carleton Quebec
From: 'Whitehern' Hamilton

My dearest Calvin,

As your last letter was written on June 24th, it seems quite a while since I heard from you, but perhaps you have been taking the sailing trip you spoke of. We have been quite occupied in various ways and now I have only a few minutes as we starting off shortly to visit Mrs. Whittemore at Grimsby, in our new car Tom driving. As I wrote you, I do not know how often the mail steamer leaves for Gaspe so I post letters at random.

The garden is magnificent the roses are amazing every bush old and young flowering. B. planted the celery beautifully. On a card I asked for address of lady at San for Sunday at Home. Also sent letter enclosing cheque and some papers. Hope you have received all. Tom was very pleased with hunting knife, such a handsome case. Must run now, hope you are still enjoying yourself. With much love

Your affectionate mother

M.B. McQuesten
