My dearest old Cal in Knox valley,
I must just send you a scribble to wish you both the joys of Easter time. I'm afraid you both are so busy with exams that you lose much of the joy--poor chappies! I've been enjoying the first of my holidays not exactly a day of rest for there had accumulated so many things that had to be straightened out that it has taken so much time there is only a minute left before I have to get ready to go out for tea.
We saw off nearly all the girls and teachers yesterday, such a day of rushing. And now there are only half a dozen girls and Miss Middleton & myself left & it is a lovely quiet household. I think the girls enjoy it too.
It is snowing away steadily--everything is white with it as if winter didn't think of saying good-bye. But it will lay the dust and it has been so windy and dusty it made us think of the good? old fire days when smoke & dust & wind were the order of things.
I have a good many invitations for Easter so you can imagine me as well looked after. I wish I could look after the two of you a little. I just hate to think of your grinding and worrying when my mind is free. But it will soon be over dear and you'll have a nice summer I think.
And now I must go, I'll write a longer letter soon--my mind has been in exams lately anyway and there was no news to tell.
With ever so much love dear old boy and give my love to Tom.
Yours as ever,
1 Calvin and Thomas are living together in Toronto at this time. Cal is at Knox College and Tom is at University of Toronto.
