Dear Cal,

Have just received the Bk. of Montreal certificate, so am taking it to Mr. C. and hope to send off by evening post. Have rented both the Bold St. houses to Mrs. Hill at $40 and water rates, for three years and option of five years.¹ Was sorry to let them go so low but Mr. C. thought perhaps it was best; she will go in 15th March and if she does as well as she hoped will give me $45 on first of January. You know in letting Mrs. Hill have them, I am keeping up the reputation of the houses, which is worth something and I cannot have so much to lay out on them as they have new roofs &c. Must close, take good care of yourself.
