Your information was not quite correct in saying our house is small. The Rooms are large & there are nine of them comfortably furnished our family consists of three & the servant who is a christian [sic] girl of ninteen from a respectable family & well Educated & at present is sleeping in a large Bed Room which Harriet [sic] said she would be very pleased to share with her rather then [sic] sleep alone [.]1
Since I last wrote to you I have spoken to Mrs.
Allworth Wife of the Rev. W. H. Allworth [.] She thinks
its [sic] very important that Harriet should leave her present home.
If Harriet should still decline to leave her step mother I shall feel it my painfull [sic] duty to part with her as an apprentice [.]
Hoping she will take your advise [sic] & go were [sic] you may wish her.
I remain yours
