My Dear Sir,
I send you herewith a copy of resolution which was passed at the meeting of the Church held last Wednesday having reference to our late pastor and his family-Would you kindly sign the same as Chairman of the meeting so that I can send it to Mrs. Sanders.

Mr. John Baker
My dear grandson,
I recently received a letter from Mrs before acknowledging mine of the 4th containing a remittance find storing. I was much in need, for the last but you sent me I had not much left after paying my rent, and finished paying for my stove. I had John and baby two months. I have not record on amt from John, when he went away he did not say anything about paying he might have begot it.
If such was the case permit me to inform you that the sums I am unable fprward to Mr Baker bi-monthly though materially diminishing my us ounces yet an barely sufficient with a good economy to supply her wants of the family.
As she has as long furnished you and son with heard and lasting. I earnestly request you tosett up your current; and races down her uneasinefs [sic] and adorn her start and circumstances.
Your immediate imperance with the above will greatly oblige you afft Grandfather Thomas Baker [?]. I was sorry to learn little Alfred was unwell I hope he is now quite [??].
I have inquired in lieu of board on Hamilton, a [latourary??] man earning $5.00 per week pays $[4.00??] per week, for a child $2.00 per week.
The above new year you as to what you should pay and Mr. Baker [??].
