My dear Brother

Since writing you the former note of this morning,1 Father has spoken with me again on the subject: & now he wants to temporize if possible. Anyway he does not want me to speak to her at present. So dont [sic] see Dr. Ormiston till I write you again, which will be as soon as there is anything to communicate. I hope he will not back down. Yours as ever
