W2306 TO DR. CALVIN BROOKS MCQUESTEN from his brother Isaac B. McQuesten
Oct 8 1872
To: Dr. Calvin Brooks McQuesten
From: Hamilton, Ontario
My dear Brother
Since writing you the former note of this morning,1 Father has spoken with me again on the subject: & now he wants to temporize if possible. Anyway he does not want me to speak to her at present. So dont [sic] see Dr. Ormiston till I write you again, which will be as soon as there is anything to communicate. I hope he will not back down. Yours as ever
1 See W2304 in which Isaac writes about having proposed to their father, Dr. Calvin McQuesten, that he separate from Mrs. Elizabeth Fuller McQuesten who was his third wife and the 'wicked stepmother' to both Isaac and Calvin Brooks. See W-MCP5-6.351 for details and links.
