If you knew how much I would like to see & talk with you about Carrie I know you would come and see me--I am left so lonely and desolate that I am nearly frantic at times. One month this morning since she was taken and died at evening--It was such a shock to us all and a great oversight that no telegram was sent to you. I was perfectly prostrate & Mr. Day done the best he could under the circumstances--but there were many that did not know of it whom I would liked here--Mr. Day took her remains to Utica Tuesday Morn. the 9th she died the 6 of Feb--She rests there with the little ones gone before--If I did not realize she has gone to a better purer happier home I should be very wretched - We expect to break up here the first of April and probably I shall go to Chicago with Daisy for awhile with Walter--
