Dear Sir - I have the pleasure to notify you of yr appointment as Alternate of Dr. Winston, in the Chair of Skn [sic] diseases of the Disp.[sic]
It has been the practice of the Com.[sic] to Converse with new appointees and to impress on them the necessity of punctuality & regularity and [?] our desire for great forbearance & and for tenderness of manner towards our Patients, trying in their stupidity as they sometimes are - Out yr [sic] familiarity with the Institution for some time past, has [?] indicated the value & necessity of these qualities & I have therefore only to present the fact of your appointment as above,
