I cannot realize that more than two [???]. We received your letter from Hamilton still it has as yet received us no kind [?]. We thank you for your piousness in sending us the kind desired information, concerning your journey, safe arrival, health &c. Were very sorry to learn that you found cold on the way- hope you have cure [?]- returned how the offering before this time- [???] dangerous to have no- in your will you not favor us with a line soon?
Your visit was a very pleasant event to us. It came at a time when we most needed something of the sort a diversion from ourselves & our concerns. It would do us good if we could have such visits from our friends often. If you & your mother could enjoy it, we are very glad.
My health continues as in from the day you left, so that by the fourth day after that, the pain [???] in my back was short, infenitely gone, & I was left to rest in planting my [?] & garden the next one in the [?] following went to [?] it forward to a Hand [???].
