W0563 TO MARGARETTE B. LERNED [MCQUESTEN] from her friend Clarissa
Nov 15 1825
To: Margarette B. Lerned [McQuesten], Adams Female Academy, Londonderry, New Hampshire, [U.S.A.]
From: Adams Female Academy, Londonderry, New Hampshire, [U.S.A.]

My dear Margarett [sic],

The hour has at length arrived when we must bid adieu, many painful sensations have been experienced by us this day, which never, no never can be forgotten.

Many hours dear M. have we together spent in our little chamber, which now is to be vacated. We have long been inmates of the same family, members of the same class, & now can we forget each other? No, forever banish the thought.

Accept the best wishes of your,

loving Clarissa1

[Back of letter:] To, Miss Margarett B. Lerned
