MCMASTER UNIVERSITY Hamilton, Ontario Office of the Chancellor February 16, 1944

The Honourable T.B. McQuesten 69 James Street South, Hamilton, Ontario

Dear Mr. McQuesten:

I am happy to acknowledge finally your letter of January 12 in which you express your satisfaction over the University's suggestion of an honorary degree. Thank you for accepting so graciously.

At convocation time we will supply you with a doctor's robe and hood for the occasion, and well before the time I will send you some such instructions as you will need. I will be glad also, when the time comes, to have from you a list of special guests whom you would like to have invited for the occasion.

Yours faithfully

G.P. Gilmour

P.S. At your convenience, will you be good enough to send me a glossy print of a photograph of yourself for publicity purposes. The Hamilton paper has a cut, but I shall want to have a picture for other uses. I would also appreciate a statemenmt of such biographical details as you feel are most pertinent to a citation at Convocation. We are likely to make a mistake here and there in date or in order.
