W-MCP5-6.330 TO [DR.] CALVIN BROOKS MCQUESTEN from Preston King
Sep 7 1860
To: [Dr.] Calvin Brooks McQuesten, Meriden, New Hampshire, [U.S.A.]
From: Washington, D.C., [U.S.A.]

Mr. C.B. McQuesten,

Dear Sir,

Yours of Sept. 3rd is rec'd. I send you by the mail the Report and decision you ask for and some few speeches &c.

Each State generally by its constitution declares the qualifications of a voter within the State and determines the right to vote. The States differ on this subject--and you should consult some lawyer of New Hampshire.

Preston King
