To: Thomas B. McQuesten 22 Grosvenor, St., Toronto, Ontario
From: Ottawa Ladies' College

My dear old Tim [Tom],

Your letter was a great treat and it reached me just as my last note reached you--if it did reach you. I haven't worried particularly for I expect you have the money order all right and as you had just written didn't feel like sending a note so soon.1

Last Tuesday we had a very fine set of views by Mr. Salton on the pictures or Art of England really beautifully colored pictures of Gainsborough's, Sir Joshua Reynolds & Turner's. The evening was a real treat. I had never seen so many of Turner's--gorgeous sunsets over Venice & Rome.2

You certainly did have an experience election night. It was wonderful you didn't get your death of cold. Really it was providential.

Well my dear boy the light will be out. Take care of yourself and let me have a line some day soon. With ever so much love.

Your loving sister

P.S. This has been rather an easy week. I haven't attempted much resting after the exams & reports of the year before. We haven't been going out specially--everything has been inside the old College walls. We had an "At Home" yesterday which was as the paper describes it, a most enjoyable affair.

1 Ruby sends money from her salary regularly to Tom for his education.

2 Ruby is a very good artist and often mentions painting a copy of one of the artist's paintings.
